The Mortgage Insider, Fall 2007
LIBI members are impressed
By Jill Tedesco
One of the many bright spots at the first annual LIBI (Lond Island Builders Institute) Educational event held at Gurney's Inn on September 14th & 15th was the panel discussion entitled "Financial Defense Strategies". The LIBI event offered classroom accreditation to those in attendance, as part of the contractors licensing renewal certification by the Town of East Hampton. The panel of experts helped to address questions in response to the meltdown of the secondary mortgage market and the impact on the local building community. The discussion was hosted by Dan Gualtieri and the Hamptons Mortgage Corp.
The moderator was Laurie Wiltshire of Land Planning Services, LTD.
Program notes: The Long Island Builders Institute was formed in 1941 as an association of the building industry. The LIBI membership works to create balance between the economy and the environment. Through many outreach projects & programs like the Gurney's Inn event, LIBI professionals are dedicated to making Long Island a better place to live and work.
